Cockering Farm

Location: Canterbury, Kent

Quinn Estates gained consent for 400 new homes and business space at Cockering Farm in September 2018. This site forms the second part of the Thanington extension meaning that Quinn Estates are responsible for 1,150 new homes in the area. Forming an allocated site in the Canterbury district, the site will deliver 46.8 acres of publicly accessible open space and parkland along with a new business park delivering 200 new long term jobs. The delivery of 400 dwellings at this strategic site will fund the following S106/S278 measures worth approximately £10.5m:

  • Wincheap Relief Road;
  • Wincheap Western Link;
  • Wincheap Green Roundabout;
  • Local bus service contribution; and
  • Cycle and pedestrian improvements;
  • Local health service contribution;
  • KCC Community and Learning contribution;
  • KCC Youth Services contribution;
  • KCC Social Care contribution;
  • Primary Education contribution;
  • KCC Secondary Education contribution;
  • Larkey Valley Wood SSSI – warden contribution;
  • Thanington Community Centre contribution;
  • Air Quality Projects contribution.
