Up to 50 New Homes in Harrietsham

Quinn Estates have put together a proposal for the delivery of up to 50 new homes on land off West Street, Harrietsham

The proposal includes:

  • A 2.84ha site within the settlement boundary of Harrietsham - a rural service centre
  • A windfall site ie a site that is not allocated for development but which can make a positive contribution towards the housing needs of the area
  • The local authority cannot demonstrate a 5-year housing land supply and as such there is a presumption in favour of sustainable development
  • The delivery of policy compliant affordable homes
  • Homes from an award-winning small housebuilder
  • Existing hedgerows and woodland retained to help the houses fit into the local environment
  • Retention of existing public rights of way through the site
  • A development delivering a 20% biodiversity net gain
  • On site play facilities
  • The site access has been designed to use the existing access off West Street whilst the proximity to the train station provides excellent transport connectivity
