This site was originally an Iron Foundry but had been abandoned and disused for 4 years, leaving widespread contamination over large areas. Using creative land assembly of adjacent sites, planning was approved for 78 houses and the 70,000 sqft of employment space that had been lost when the Foundry closed. The residential development afforded the site the income necessary to fully remediate all contamination whilst providing excellent housing stock in a picturesque lakeside setting.
